Well,
The first edit of HOC bk 1, is halfway through. (Big sigh of relief)
After helping Mom edit most of her books, we've got a routine now:
She writes, I edit. She edits and gives the book to Dad. He reads, edits, and gives it back to Mom. Sometimes we have other pre-readers.
My favorite part right now is reading the chapters aloud that she's edited. We have fun speaking in the characters accents or voice tones (it's one of my favorite things to do). Plus, we find out what sounds right and edit the problems that we wouldn't have caught otherwise. It helps us tighten the stories so they're a lot more enjoyable for the readers.
I'm also working on sketches and colored pictures that will help portray everything better.
So, there's your update.
We're still on cue for the December release date.
