The illustrations are fully complete. Every chapter has its heading picture and there's even a few bonuses through out the book! ;)

Our proof reader is almost done with their 2nd go through of the book. This means, next week, we'll be jumping on editing and tweaking everything until it's ready for reading.

Alright Readers,

We're on Draft 8! All that's left is one final draft! (I thought we'd have one more honestly, but hey, I'm fine with having one less!) Yay! So here we go!

Also, I just barely finished with all the illustrations! Need to do some touch up work, but that'll have to come with tomorrow, cause I really need some sleep.

The book is on schedule and is to be released sometime this September! Woo-hoo! Right? I mean seriously! Finally! Wow!

Ok, yeah, I need to sleep.

HoC 6 Update

Hey All,

We have cut another chapter and the epilogue is under the axe right now too! Oy!

But, there is light at the end of this carnage. We will be posting some of the cut chapters from book 6 on the blog. However, to avoid major spoilers, you might want to sit back and hold tight until you're done with reading the book.
I'll type that these are major spoilers at the top of each post. But it's entirely up to you if you want to read on from there.

On the other hand, we've just finished another revision after our 2nd reader finished and draft 7 (WOW!) is done! It didn't take nearly as long, which we were happy about.

32/38 illustrations are complete.

We have completed draft 6! The last 1/2 of the book REALLY needed a lot of work! But, it's starting to sound smoother and makes more sense.

Hey Readers,

As far as the book goes, we just hacked off 8-12 chapters from the last half of the book! (Allow me to faint!) But, when you want to give a good product, you have to trim the extra info when it isn't important to the story.

I have 21 chapter heading pictures complete and 6 more in the LA phase. I will warn you, the pics are mostly done in my Advanstic style (advanced stickfigure) this round.

Hey Everyone!

After a 9-10 hr day of working on Draft 5 (not kidding!), the draft is complete. This round we were cutting out a LOT of description and extra fluff that was making the story drag on. Now it will be cleaner, but the last 1/2 still needs some straightening out.

I'm feeling excitement gather in my heart. The project is on it's way to completion, I'm finally seeing that light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

Hello,

We've reached Draft 5, chapter 3! Wah-hoo! We're now at our 1/2 way pnt through the drafts! 5/10!

We're excited and ready to work on this round. We'll be adding more detail, straightening up who says what, and hopefully there's no more addition scenes to create.

Almost finished with that illustration I mentioned last time. It's still heart warming.

I'm a little worried though. My digital pen's program might've given up since the last update my computer took on. If that's the case, I'll have to get a new pen. I'm hoping they've come down in price.

We've reached Draft 4, chapter 40. The story's basics are in place. Most of the chapters have their muscles. We're working on adding the nervous system that can link it all together.

I've begun work on the illustrations again. The picture I'm working on brings a smile to my heart.

Hey Everyone,

Mom is on Chapter 19 right now of Draft 3.

We still have a lot to piece together and bunches of "layers" to create. Right now, we're trying to get the main cast in the right positions, give them the lines they need to show the right feeling to each scene, etc.
It's kinda funny, cause the secondary cast is just standing around doing only little things here and there. Not really showing much expression and at times, they'll disappear completely!

So yes, we're working on it. Including the RD sketches for the chapter headings.

HoC 6 Update. Book and Cover

Hello Dear Readers,

Working on draft 2 now. Oddly enough, it's been easier to work backwards.

The illustrations are in various stages of completion. Generally, as I read, I write ideas down for the book illustrations that are used in that chapter. I sometimes will draw an object to make the reader wonder how it'll fit in. Other times, I draw the characters (my favorite thing to do).

The cover is near completion. Yay! Mom is working hard with our cover artist to get the final touches done. Then we'll paste the title and our names on it and I'll post the cover. You'll get a first hand look at the cover. We hope you'll like it.

Book 4 Update - 7th draft

Hello All,

We were handed back the copy from our first pre-reader. Yay! Mom's finished fixing all the small mistakes. Now we need to discuss cutting chapters and rearranging a few events to make it flow better.

More good news, I've completed all 52 RDs! Now I'm doing the Line Art (or LA). I'm on 18/52. Some of them are really detailed, others are simple. Some have more than 1 subject in them so it gives the readers more to look at.

Mom is also having her books uploaded to other places now: Kobo, Nook, iTunes, 24 Symbols, Page Foundry, Scribd, Toline. (HoC series will be added later.)

HoC 4 Update-Sept or Oct?

Hello Wonderful Readers,

There's a lot we've been working on. So far, we've got 50 chapters in bk 4! This could change. We're currently having our first pre-reader read bk4. It's on draft 7 at the moment.

I've been working on the rough drafts for the chapter headings. They're the usual run of emotions (the rainbow spectrum!). This round, more of them are complicated due to what I found exciting in this book and because I have more time.

We have a lot more battle and emotions are riding high as we complete this book and head onto the final book in the series: Fourth Corner. Believe it or not, we have some of book 5 written (in its earliest form, but still it's exciting).

Questions you may have:

Q: Will there be deaths? 
A: Many.

Q: Are the lead characters some of those deaths? (Sarah, Ransom, Dee, etc.)
A: Perhaps. You'll have to read and find out. ;)

Q: Are Sarah and Ransom finally going to be bf/gf in this book?
A: They want to be and are constantly begging us to allow it to happen. Hmm...

Q: Is there going to be another Oblamay chapter?
A: No. We originally had 2 chapters of the next oblamay but it tended to bog the story down.We cut those chapters out.

Q: Will bk 4 come out at the end of August, like you said?
A: September, hopefully.

Q: Why do you keep switching the release dates for bk 4?
A: Would you give an important dinner guest a 1/2 made meal? No. And we won't either. We want your taste buds to dance and sing with all the wonderful savory storylines we've come up with, leaving you begging for more! "Bring on the dessert!"
